Some good news! The Australian National Cabinet's statement on 8 May revealed that we have been successful in flattening the curve and daily infection rates remained low. The Government is now cautiously reopening the economy in a 3 step plan. Each state and territories may ease restrictions at their own pace.
For NSW, some businesses have reopened and more businesses are expected to reopen in the coming months. Holiday travel restrictions within NSW will be lifted from 1 June but everyone must continue to abide by the physical distancing measures. For VIC, the stay home period has been extended until 31 May.
Follow your state government's advice on what you can and cannot do as there are penalties enforced if found in breach of the orders. Please refer to the VIC Government and NSW Government websites for more information and to keep up to date with the news on Covid-19.
Please continue to follow the travel guidelines outlined by the World Health Organisation and advice from the Department of Health website. If you are returning from overseas, please be socially responsible and self-isolate at home for at least 14 days. Stay home if you are unwell.
We are open for bookings from 1 June 2020, but you may stay only if restrictions have lifted
Things are looking positive, so we expect the restrictions to be lifted by 1 June. You are welcome to plan and book your stays for June. However, if the restrictions are not lifted by then, you will have to shift your dates to a later period. If you do not wish to postpone your trip, we will cancel your booking and refund in full.
We encourage you to first consider postponing your trip rather than cancelling, so as to minimise the impact on your hosts. This is because for each booking made, your hosts will also receive rental income. So for every booking cancelled, they will experience a loss of income.
Changes to our cancellation policy (when restrictions have lifted)
We understand that in these times of uncertainty, we all wish for greater flexibility in planning our trips. We hear you and have made changes to our cancellation policy. Previously, our cancellation policy was strict and guests could only get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of booking. Now, we've temporarily changed our policy to be flexible.
Guests who booked with us will have free cancellation (full refund) until 7 days before check-in.
If booked less than 7 days before check-in, free cancellation up to 48 hours after booking, up to 3 days before check-in.
50% refund if cancellations are made at least 3 days before check-in.
No refund for cancellations made within 3 days of check-in.
This policy applies when restrictions have lifted. If restrictions are still in place, you must stay home.
Exceptions will be made for guests who are able to provide proof that they are sick, affected by Covid-19, or have been in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19. In these cases, we will encourage the guests to stay home or receive treatment from their nearby clinics or hospitals. We will help them postpone their trip or cancel and refund them in full, so that they can focus on recovery.
Covid Safe Plans - Temporary changes to help stop the spread
To help stop the spread of the virus, we've made some temporary changes :
1. Contactless check in and out procedure
To be in line with safe distancing rules and minimise physical contact, the check-in and check out will be contactless. This may vary depending on your hosts, but safe distances will be maintained throughout. If you need help, your hosts will be able to assist via phone call.
2. Cleaning and disinfecting, including frequently touched surfaces
The tiny houses will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected according to Safe Work Australia's cleaning guide. Frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected after every guest checks out.
3. Antibacterial hand soap will be provided
To help you protect yourselves, we will provide antibacterial hand soap. Please use these to wash your hands whenever you are back from your local tours or visits to town.
