THE SPACE
Baxter at Lake George Winery by Tiny Away is the perfect family staycation with a queen-sized bed up in the loft and a couch, which can be converted into a single bed on the ground floor.

A cozy 190-square-foot tiny home and family-friendly accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly compost toilet, a hand basin, and a shower (gas-heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have two holiday homes, "Rae," located about 8 meters away, available with 24 hours' notice in advance. Keep in mind that these homes are rented out as well, so you may encounter other guests in shared areas.

Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surrounding areas.
- Pet are not allowed - Mobile reception is good - Family Friendly Accommodation - No smoking allowed on the property - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission Pre-orders - A complimentary firewood will be provided. - If additional firewood is needed, there will be a $20 charge per batch, to be paid directly to land host on site. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own firewood. - We have restaurant and cellar door onsite and is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. - ⁠Dinner orders can be placed and collected during these hours or we can place the food in your tiny house if you are checking in late. Please call our restaurant to arrange this. Safety Guidelines - We advise guests to keep an eye on children inside as the stairs to the loft is quite steep - Guests with infants are recommended to bring their own portable travel cot during their stay - Guests are advised to keep an eye on their children at all times as the stairs to the loft is steep - We strictly advise guests to follow these safety guidelines to avoid potential accidents on the property - Guests with children are advised to keep an eye on them as the property is a farm hazard that may be a danger to them Important note: - Please dispose of your trashes properly when you leave the tiny house - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property - Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - Please report any damages or breakages inside or outside the property 24 hours before your departure - There is another tiny house on this property which is also rented out, so expect some company from other guests - For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
Lake George's holiday homes are situated in a small town next to Lerida Estate, which is open seven days a week, and just a short 10 km drive from the town of Collector. Where you can explore restaurants, cafes, wineries, and activities. So, make an endless list of things to do and come visit Lake George Winery. Spend a day exploring Cockington Green Gardens, a charming display of handcrafted miniature buildings from across the globe. Then head to the National Arboretum Canberra, a living collection of forests and gardens that blend natural beauty with sweeping views and event spaces. For a classic Canberra panorama, drive up to Mount Ainslie Lookout, where Lake Burley Griffin and the city’s landmarks unfold against distant mountain ranges, especially striking at sunrise or sunset. Nature lovers will find calm at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, home to an incredible variety of native flora. Wander shaded trails, listen to the birds, and walk beneath the lush canopy of the Rainforest Gully. If wine is more your pace, nearby vineyards offer cool-climate character and countryside charm. Had a nice stay at little Baxter, views are great, place was spotless and had everything you need. Woke up to a nice sunrise over the lake with half a dozen kangaroos around on the grass in front of the little house. Was perfect for what we wanted which was just a night out of the city, if you are planning to stay there to visit all the wineries around the area I suggest not staying on a Monday or a Tuesday night as all the wineries pretty much close up till Wednesday. Only down side I found was sitting outside having a wine and could hear the constant traffic on the highway down below but it was nothing too crazy. Couldn’t hear it from inside the accommodation.

We loved our stay at Little Baxter! We chose this accommodation because it was in the middle of our journey - after a long day of driving we were so pleased to drive into the winery gates and see our Tiny Home in the distance! It perfectly suited our needs; we loved the outdoor fire pit (& marshmallow's) we only wished we could have stayed longer!
